Overview

Cute Helper is an AI-powered desktop companion designed to reduce workflow friction for students, developers, and knowledge workers.

Traditional AI assistants require users to stop their work, switch applications, open a browser, type a prompt, and then return to their original task. This repeated context switching interrupts focus and creates unnecessary friction.

Cute Helper was created to explore a different interaction model: a persistent desktop assistant that remains available throughout the user's workflow and can provide contextual help through voice interaction and on-screen understanding.

Problem

During my own learning journey in software development, product management, and AI systems, I observed a recurring pattern.

Whenever users encounter a problem, they typically:

1. Leave their current application.
2. Open ChatGPT, Gemini, or another assistant.
3. Re-explain their context.
4. Receive an answer.
5. Return to their original task.
